Search: The search engine works like the one in yahoo! Combining search words will narrow the selection. If you type in the words [ cat dog ] pictures with both the words 'cat' and 'dog' anywhere in the caption, keywords or headline will show up. Do not use any jokers or wildcards like '*', '+', '&' '-' signs. No AND or OR.

Just use a space to separate the words - this will create a search for all words you included!

You can also search for dates, but the date has to be typed in a special format: YYYYMMDD or parts of this format. E.g. [ 20050215] will show all pictures taken on the 27th of September 1998. If you type in [ Schroeder 0502 ] all pictures of the German Bundeskanzler taken in Februar2005 will be shown.

Download licenced pictures:

(this is password protected, please register). Clicking on the little disk button will load the licenced picture into your browser. After completing the download, you may save the picture to your local computer. Windows users should right-click on the picture, Mac users drag and drop or hit the CTRL key while clicking on the picture.

Pictures sent as eMail attachments:

Alternatively you might want the engine to automatically eMail the licenced picture to you. That saves your time, because you don't have to wait for them to download. For this option, click on the mailbox button. But keep in mind, the engine will send the picture to the eMail address you have pre-registered in the Registration section. If you can't receive big attachments on your eMail address, use the direct download!
